---1---

You begin the game at Pallet Town. First, go boot up your PC and withdraw your Potion. Now go to the house next door to you, then leave the town to the north. Professor Oak will bring you to his laboratory. Here, choose a Pokémon. Here is their evolution:

Squirtle - Wartortle - Blastoise
Charmander - Charmeleon - Charizard
Bulbasur - Ivysaur - Venusaur

Now go north again. You should fight PIDGEYs and RATTATAs here and gain EXP. Points.

---2---

In Viridian City, you should buy several Poké Balls. Go back to the fields between Pallet Town and Viridian City and catch PIDGEY and RATTATA. Fight here until you reach L10 or until your Pokémon evolve into WARTORTLE, PIDGEOTTO, and RATICATE. Now head west and catch a male NIDORAN. Head north again until you reach a building. Go inside this building and fight trainers when needed. You can try to catch WEEDLE, CATERPIE, and PIKACHU here.

---3---

Just past the Viridian Forest is Pewter City. In this town you will have to fight the first gym trainer. He will use: GEODUDE [12] and ONIX[14]. Before you fight you should have: PIKACHU [12], WARTORTLE [15], PIDGEY [09], and NIDORAN [10].

---4---

Before you reach Cerulean City, you must find your way through Route 3 and Mt. Moon. Along Route 3 you can catch SPEAROW and JIGGLYPUFF. Fight any trainers along the way if you want to earn Poké Money. Inside Mt. Moon you can catch CLEFAIRY, ZUBAT, PARAS, and GEODUDE. After clearing Mt. Moon, you will arrive at Cerulean City. Your first job here is to take on Misty in the city gym. Beat her and win the Cascade Badge ( Pokémon up to L30 will obey you ). Now head north from Cerulean city to find Bill, the "someone" on the PC screen, after you help him you will get a cruise ticket. You now need to go to Vermillion City.

---5---

In Vermillion City, you should head first to the cruise ship at the dock and then get a bike ticket at the Pokémon Club. After you board, search for various items and a person who will give you HM 01 - Cut. Once you get off the ship, it will set sail and not return. Use HM 01 with either Oddish or Bellsprout, depending on which version of the game you have. Now that you know Cut, go through Diglett's Cave to the east, and end up near Viridian again, but on the previously inaccessible half. South ou Diglett's Cave is a small house where a man will give you the HM 05 - Flash. Now head back to Vermillion and proceed to the gym. since Lieutenant Surge uses only Lightning type creatures, you should you Ground type ones here. Now go back to Cerulean City and explore nearby areas using Cut. On the east side of the city, you can find a route to Rock Tunnel. If you have a JIGGLYPUFF and Moon Stone at this point, you should evolve it into WIGGLYTUFF and teach him Flash. Immediately upon entering Rock Tunnel, use Flash to provide light.

---6---

After you exit Rock Tunnel, go to Lavender Town and head to Pokémon Tower. Climb the tower until you meet a ghost. Now exit the Tower and head west until you reach a house. Enter to find another underground walkway which leads to Celadon City.

---7---

While at Celadon City, head to the north and enter a secret back door of Celadon Mansion. Inside you will find EEVEE, a very special Pokémon. In order to catch 'em all, you will need the Link Cable and two additional EEVEEs, which must be obtained through a trade. Now head to the Celadon Department Store. Inside, head for Floor 6 and buy either Water, Lemonade, or Soda Pop. Now go to the southern part of the city and enter the bar. Talk to the man in the back to get a Coin Case. With your coin case, head to the Game Corner. The Silph Scope can be found in a secret area here. The slot machines here are a real gyp, so you should simply buy coins at a price of P1000 for 50. The prizes are:

Abra - 120 Coins/P2,400
Clefairy - 750 Coins/P15,000
Nidorino - 1,200 Coins/P24,000
Pinsir - 2,500 Coins/P50,000
Dratini - 4,600 Coins/P92,000
Porygon - 6,500 Coins/P130,000

You should save any Coins you have until you can buy DRATINI or PORYGON. Beat the gym leader and head to Saffron City.

---8---

In order to enter the city, give the guard one of the drinks you bought in Celadon. Head to the tallest building in the city, the Silph Co. Building. The inside is like an 11 level maze. Only two things really need to be done here. First, defeat your rival on Floor 7 for a LAPRAS, and the President of Silph Co. for a Master Ball on Floor 11. Now fight in the gym and leave through the east exit. If you have not gotten the Poké Flute yet, do so now and return to Celadon City. Exit through the west side of the city and play the flute to wake up the SNORLAX. Use your bicycle on the Cycling Road and head south to Fuchsia City.

---9---

The Safari Zone can be found in Fuchsia City. Head there first to catch NIDORAN, NIDORINA, NIDORINO, RHYHORN, KANGASKHAN, PARASECT, DODUO, VENONAT, VENOMOTH, PINSIR, CHANSEY, EXEGGCUTE, SCYTHER, and TAUROS. Also look for the Secret House and a set of false teeth. Give the teeth to the Warden and get HM 04 - Strength. Now head back to Celadon City. At the end of Cycling Road near Celadon is a bush. Cut it to find a field and a man who gives you HM 02 - Fly. Now fly to Pallet Town and Surf to the south, toward Cinnabar Island.

---10---

This town two important stops to make. First go to the laboratory and give the scientists the fossil you got in Mt. Moon. Leave and re-enter the laboratory and you will get either KABUTO or OMANYTE. Now go to the house in the northwest corner of the island. Search the house for a gym key and PONYTA, KOFFING, and MAGMAR.

---11---

This is the last level, beat Lorelei (water), Bruno (fighting), Agatha (ghost), Lance (dragon), and Gary (variable) to become the best Pokémon trainer in the world (in the game's world, of course!).

---12---

Notes on Unknown Dungeon-

Blue and Red Versions play same dungeon, Yellow uses new dungeon.

If you you have already wasted your Master Ball, it is still possible to catch MEWTWO. To do so, buy at least 30 Ultra Balls, enter the battle with a Pokémon capable of Sleep or Paralysis techniques. Reduce MEWTWO's health to about 5%, make him sleep, and then use Ultra Balls until you catch him.
