Technical Database - GTVA Armament:
Subach HL-7 - The GTVA's most produced weapon. It is classified as a standard issue and is a xaser (x-ray amplification by stimulated emission of radiation) weapon specifically designed by the Subach-Innes Corporation as a shield breaker weapon.
Mekhu HL-7 - The Mekhu HL-7 xaser is essentially the Vasudan-produced version of the Subach HL-7. It is slightly less powerful, but it is capable of firing more rounds per second.
GTW Akheton SDG - A Vasudan-designed retrofit of the Disruptor technology of the Great War era. It is designed to disrupt subsystems and is useless for shield breaking or hull breaching. Depending on how you budget your ship's power, you may run out of weaponry power if you over-use it.
GTW ML-70 Morning Star - The Morning Star is an advanced version of the Flail Cannon used during the Great War. It is a high-temperature optic weapon which is designed to break shields. Its energy requirement is moderately high.
GTW-5A Prometheus-R - A slightly weaker, retrofit version of the Prometheus laser used in the Great War. It has a high energy requirement and will recharge slowly if a significant amount of energy has been used.
GTW-5 Prometheus-S - The standard (S-variant) of the Prometheus Cannon. It is slightly more powerful than the Subach HL-7 xaser.
GTW-66 Maxim - The GTW-66 Maxim is an energy weapon specifically designed to penetrate hull plating and subsystem armor. It has virtually no effect on shields, so it should be paired with a shield-breaking weapon such as a Prometheus.
GTW-UD-8 Kayser - Laser weapon based on Shivan technology which operates on a subatomic level.
GTW-19 Circe - Disruptor weapon which uses varying EM harmonics to disrupt subsystems. It has little effect on shields and hull plating.
GTW-83 Lamprey - EM weapon which depletes a target's energy reserves with every successful hit.
GTM-MX-64 Rockeye - Heat-seeking missile with greater accuracy and larger payload than its Great War counterpart, the MX-50.
GTM-MX-6 Tempest - The Tempest is a dumbfire missile which will travel in a straight line from its point of release. It travels at 360 m/s, so it may only be avoided, not outrun. It acts similarly to a primary weapon, but has a faster firing rate. A countermeasure is generally not required to evade an incoming Tempest.
GTM-4 Hornet - The Hornet Swarm Missile was first deployed during the Great War in 2335. It may be fired in swarms of 4 or 8 missiles. In order for it to work properly, you must first achieve aspect lock on your target. The Hornet is most effective as an anti-fighter missile.
GTM-4A Tornado - The Tornado is an upgrade version of the Hornet. Like the Hornet, it is an aspect-seeking missile, but is more powerful than the Hornet. The Tornado is also fired in swarms of 4 or 8 missiles.
GTM-19 Harpoon - Harpoon missiles are the GTVA's fastest aspect-seeking missiles and the most effective for destroying beam turrets and flak guns. Their shape allows for the greatest hull penetration prior to detonation.
GTM-55 Trebuchet - The Trebuchet missile has the greatest effective range of any of the GTVA weapons. Aspect lock can be achieved at 4000 meters from the intended target. Trebuchet missiles are high-payload anti-bomber warheads.
GTI-TAG-A - The Type A Target Acquisition and Guidance Missile (TAG-A) is a dumbfire missile which, upon impact, marks a ship for destruction by a capital ship's AF battery and/or beam turrets. These missiles are extremely useful when you are engaged within the Knossos Nebula.
GTI-TAG-B - TAG-B missiles operate in the same way as the TAG-A missile except that these have lock capabilities. This makes them easier and more practical to use.
GTM-EMP Advanced - The EMP Advanced missile uses electromagnet pulses to temporarily disrupt subsystem function. However, the affected subsystem is not destroyed by an EMP Advanced missile.
GTM-10 Piranha - The Piranha is a high-explosive AF weapon, which, like the Synaptic Cluster Missile of the Great War era, features a remote detonation ability. Use it when incoming fighters are still in formation, at which time they are most vulnerable.
GTM-43A Stiletto II - The Stiletto II is an upgraded version of the Stiletto Tactical Missile used during the Great War. An impact with a Stiletto II will damage the targeted subsystem while inflicting only minor damage to the target's hull. This makes the Stiletto II an important weapon for disable-and-capture missions.
