Description of Hostile Forces:
The main force hostile to the GTVA is known as the Shivans. Only a few members of this species have ever been studied, so not much is known about their biological characteristics. They have been assumed to be xenocidal, that is, they will kill anything not of their own type. This behavior was evident in the first encounter with the Shivans. They attacked both the Terrans and the Vasudans.
Shivan technology appears to be even more advanced than that of the Terrans or Vasudans. This was first evident in their shielding systems, which we have studied and adapted to Terran and Vasudan ships. The Shivans also had managed to shield the SD Lucifer, their largest ship at the time of the Great War. Now, in 2367, the GTVA encounters the Shivans again.
