CHARACTERS OF FINAL FANTASY VIII
Squall Leonhart is the main character of Final Fantasy VIII. His weapon is a type of sword/gun combination known as the Gunblade. It has also been assumed that he is one of the characters in the FF VIII logo. The name "Leonhart" was supposedly used in another Final Fantasy game.
Rinoa's main weapon is known as the Blaster Edge, a type of projectile weapon. Her dog, Angelo, will assist you in battles.
Seifer is Squall's rival and the leader of the B Squad ( The SeeD class in which Squall belongs to ). Like Squall, Seifer also uses the Gunblade weapon. He later becomes Edea's knight.
Another GARDEN member, originally from Trabia. I find her to be the most useful character in the game because of her Full Cure limit skill. It really helps when you run low on HP. If you run out of HP, Full Cure cannot help you, and neither can White Hen Pantry.
A teacher at GARDEN, she became a member of SeeD at age 15.
Zell is also a member of GARDEN and a master of martial arts. Many of his lines are in ALL CAPS.
Like Selphie, Irvine is a member of GARDEN. He uses a gun as his weapon, but requires ammunition for his limit skills.

The sorceress. Bad in the beginning, but not after something happens to another of your characters...
A character who lived in the near past, you only know of him in this "dream world." At least for a while...
Kiros fights along with Laguna, also only seen in the "dream world."
Ward also lives in the "dream world." His weapon is a large spearlike object.
